On the 11th of November each year, San Martin de Amacayacu celebrates her “birthday”, or offical establishment day. Many other communities from all over the Amazon River shore were invited to participate in the soccer championship organized during the whole weekend after the 11th. The Small World Foundation was the proud sponsor of this San Martin AC Milan team (the 11th player is taking the picture.. don´t worry). Our special touch much have given the players wings as they kept scoring until the final match which made them CHAMPION!! The prize was pure honor…
